The medical field is widely seen as a model for Jewish-Arab partnership in Israel, with Arabs comprising nearly 40% of medical staff nationwide. Since October 7, however, rising polarization has exposed vulnerabilities that challenge this model and the system’s resilience. On Thursday, February 12, the Task Force on Arab Citizens of Israel and the Abraham Initiatives held a conversation with researchers and medical professionals examining lessons learned and practical interventions to strengthen healthcare resilience moving forward.
